We started at v0 and even with this first version the improvement in performance was really good. Further revisions improve ignition timing and remove any knocking (or pinging) with continual fine tuning of the timing, avcs, fuel mixture and knock correction.

After taking the log of v3 I looked at the logs more closely and could see that the time to accelerate from 1500 rpm to 7000 rpm or 27 km/hr to 124 km/hr in third gear had gone from 13.1 sec to 11.9 sec.

We are up to v5 now and it feels like the engine is running much more sweetly than before, as well as with about 10kW more. I have had the rear mufflers changed to short straight through resonators so I can hear the exhaust note and it sounds nicer now too. Edward wanted me to return the ecu to the standard setup, or in other words, reload the standard Subaru ROM, do a log and then load the v5 ROM and do another log. So I have just done a test of one straight after the other and the car is so much nicer now, Edward has done a really good job of tuning the engine.

Edward has been really good to deal with and this way of tuning the car is good fun.

You exhaust system seems a little restrictive. Fuel quality may not be like in other areas.

BP Octane Booster vs Mogas 100

I Think I like Mogas 100 since it was tested in hot weather and produce good results.

v9 vs v8b

V9 with new fuel map runs better at higher IAT temperature. Readjusted to increase tq below 3000rpm below.

Mogas is 100Octane with 5% Ethanol and easily attainable. I really think is 100Octane overall.

v9 and v9a

V9 & v9a. V9a posted higher figures. Really due to temperature. Release v9b which contains just minor AVCS change and tuning is completed.

I had my car done last January (a full tune) and Edward just gave me an update of a later version incorporating some changes he has made since my car was done and he did it for free. The power delivery at part throttle is smoother, it doesn't come on so sudden now.
